The StG44 (Sturmwehr 44) was introduced into the Wehrmacht in 1943/44.

The head of the development department at C. G. Haenel in Suhl was Hugo Schmeisser.

Therefore this rifle is also called the Schmeisser STG44.

With the StG44, a new type of weapon, the assault rifle, was introduced as a semi- and fully automatic weapon for the first time.

Originally intended as a heavy submachine gun or machine carbine.

The famous assault rifle was developed by Hugo Schmeisser in 1944 and influenced many rifle designs in the post-war years.

The blank firearm is manufactured using a zinc die-casting process and has a real wood stock and real wood handles. The mechanical parts are made of high quality steel.
